 Nacida en Montevideo, Uruguay, realizó sus estudios de flauta traversa en la Escuela Municipal de Música "Vicente Ascone" con el Maestro Santiago Bosco. Su repertorio abarca desde el barroco hasta lo contemporáneo, habiendo participado en grabaciones de todo tipo de música. Ha actuado como solista con varias orquestas, Orquesta Sinfónica del SODRE, Orquesta Filarmónica de Montevideo, Ars Musicae, Orquesta Filomúsica de Asunción, y participado de diferentes conjuntos de cámara, realizando conciertos en Argentina, Brasil, EEUU, España, etc.Beatriz Zoppolo e Ian Anderson

Ha participado en clases y cursos magistrales de perfeccionamiento en países como Suiza, España y EEUU, con flautistas del nivel de Claudio Barile ,Michel Moragues y Trevor Wye.
En 1992, participó del Encuentro de Música Contemporánea Sound Celebration II en Louisville, EEUU En 1993 funda el primer cuarteto de flautas de Uruguay en la Escuela Municipal de Música, dentro del marco de su cátedra. En 1995 participó del Vigésimo Tercer Encuentro de flautistas de EEUU.
En el año 2000 es invitada por el gobierno italiano y el Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores del Uruguay, a participar como jurado en el Concurso Internacional Valentino Bucchi, en Roma, Italia.
En el año 2003 con el apoyo del FONAM (Fondo Nacional de Música), realiza un proyecto docente sobre Música Popular de Uruguay para flauta traversa, grabando un CD de flauta y bases de acompañamiento.

Desde 1984 hasta 2012 fue Piccolista Solista de la Orquesta Sinfónica del SODRE.

En año 2012 graba junto al Maestro Carlos Weiske, la pianista Elida Gencarelli y la guitarrista Gabriela Diaz un CD de obras de compositores uruguayos "Compositores del Siglo XXI entre el tango y la música contemporanea"

En el año 2014 graba un CD de cuartetos de flauta también de compositores uruguayos, con obras casi todas dedicadas al Cuarteto de Flautas Montevideo, titulado Flauzzolleando
Actualmente ocupa el cargo de Flauta Solista de la Orquesta Sinfónica del SODRE, Segundo Solista de flauta de la Orquesta Filarmónica de Montevideo y Profesora en la Escuela Municipal de Música.
 


   Beatriz Zoppolo   was born in Montevideo, Uruguay on October 27th, 1957. She studied traverse flute in the Municipal School of Music of Montevideo, with Prof. Santiago Bosco, assisting to master Classes with Lars Nilsson (Swedish), Domingo Rulio (Argentinean), Michel Moragues (French), Claudio Barile (Argentinean), Silvia Navarro (Uruguay), Trevor Wye (England)

Since 1977 to 1980 she was part of the Symphonic Band of Montevideo as piccolo and flute player.
She has  performed a lot of chamber music with a repertoire that goes from the barroc period to contemporary music, in different countries as Argentina, Brazil, United States of America, Spain, Paraguay and Uruguay in recitals with piano or chamber groups. 

As a soloist with orchestra she has played with the OSSODRE (First National Orchestra of Uruguay), Montevideo Philharmonic Orchestra (City Hall’s Orchestra), Ars Musicae (Private Orchestra), Filomunica Orchestra of Asuncion (Paraguay). Having in her repertoire Concerto La Notte, Concerto en C mayor for piccolo by Vivaldi, Brandenburg Concertos by J.S.Bach  nº 2, 4 y 5; Concerto in G mayor, Andante y  Double Concerto for flute and harp by W.A. Mozart; Double Concerto for flute and oboe by Salieri, Sweet Tom Suite for flute quartet by Manolo Guardia; Masia Muju by Beatriz Lockhart (first audition in Uruguay), Concertino by Cecile Chaminade, Concerto for flute and guitar by Luis Szaran, (world premier), etc
She won first prize in Jeunnesses Musicaux contest and the Uruguayan Musicians Association, having performed several recitals in Uruguay and Argentina.

Has taken courses about the Human Voice  and Coral Conducting, being part of choirs during many years, giving concerts in Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay.

 She has taken part in recording several CD and cassettes with the Contemporary Music Institution in Uruguay, and has also recorded Popular Music and as part of the Montevideo Philharmonic Orchestra, in a Tango Program , under the conduction  of Federico Garcia Vigil.

In 1984 she wins the piccolo chair in the OSSODRE, and the Professor position in the Municipal School of Music of  Montevideo.

In 1988 she obtained a scholarship to the Perfectioning Course in the Festival Tibor Varga (Sion Switzerland) and to the X International Baroque Flute Course in Daroca Spain.

In 1992 she was internationally selected to assist to the Contemporary Music Festival, Sound Celebration II, in Louisville, Kentucky.

In 1993 she forms the First Flute Quartet in the Municipal School of Music, in her position as flute teacher in this Institution. And wins the piccolo and flute chair in the Montevideo Philarmonic Orchestra.

In 1994 she promotes the Wind Quintet, Montevideo Soloists, with whom they made several concerts in Argentina and Uruguay.

In 1Beatriz Zoppolo y Carlos Weiske995 she was part of the Twenty third NFA (National Flute Association) in Orlando, USA

In the year 2000 she was invited by the Italian Government and the Uruguayan Government to be Jury in the Flute and Clarinet international contest Valentino Bucchi in Rome, Italy.

In the year 2004, she edited a album MUSICA POPULAR DE URUGUAY PARA FLAUTA TRAVERSA. POPULAR MUSIC OF URUGUAY FOR TRAVERSE FLUTE

This a educative album with scores and a CD minus one style with popular Uruguayan pieces, going from folk to tango and to the present fusion groups. This project was sponsored by the FONAM, (A foundation dedicated to sponsor interesting musical projects and scholarships)

In the year 2012 she participates in the CD "Compositores uruguayos del sigloXXI entre el tango y la música contemporánea", and in 2014 she edits a flute quarttet CD with Cuarteto de flautas Montevideo, all with national composers.

Since 2012 she is First Flute in the OSSODRE ; National Symphonic Orchestra, Second Solo Flute in the Orquesta Filarmonica de Montevideo, and flute professor in the Municipal School of Music "Vicente Ascone"   UP
